I had the image of a young physicist in mind when I wrote this piece. My goal was to capture the atmospheric sounds of academia, while exploring the sometimes chaotic and introspective nature of their thoughts.
‘Light in the Dark’ portrays the various challenges and joys of life. While there are times of darkness and despair, there are also moments of bright and uplifting experiences that we can all look forward to. I chose the oboe specifically for its versatility.
In this composition, I aim to blend a gentle sense of happiness with a reflective sadness. ‘Tomorrow’ represents a hopeful exploration of the future, while maintaining a connection to the present moment.
