Program Note

‘Light in the Dark’ portrays the various challenges and joys of life. While there are times of darkness and despair, there are also moments of bright and uplifting experiences that we can all look forward to. I chose the oboe specifically for its versatility. The dark feeling of its lowest notes contrast beautifully with its higher register, all blending together with the cello’s deep emotional feel.
